I grew up surrounded by art, music and stories of migration. My mother is a Haitian painter and documentary filmmaker who came to France in exile. My father is a New York musician with Russian Jewish heritage; my great-grandfather escaped antisemitism in Eastern Europe. I was born in Paris, surrounded by creativity and different cultures. In many ways, music was always going to be part of my life.

I became a music producer and DJ, exploring everything from Hip-Hop and Electronic music to Afrobeats and Afro-Caribbean sounds. My work has included collaborations with artists such as King Promise and Falz, music for film, television and Netflix, and sound design commissioned by Output.

But alongside my own artistic practice, I found another side of music: working with young people.

I worked with The Roundhouse, leading DJ drop-ins and music production sessions, alongside projects across schools, Pupil Referral Units, detention centres and refugee initiatives. I'm also trained to work with trauma survivors.

These experiences changed how I thought about creative education. I became interested in what happens next. How does a young person develop their talent, build confidence, find their community and move towards a creative future?

Sound Assembly grew from those questions.

Today, I continue to work as an artist alongside leading Sound Assembly. Music is the foundation of how I think about creativity, connection and possibility.
