Our Impact

Since 2021, hundreds of creative moments have helped young people discover confidence, find community, share their stories and develop as artists. From first DJ sets to festival stages, these experiences demonstrate the kind of future Sound Assembly exists to create.

From first session to centre stage

Stories

A multi-week DJ programme culminating in a three-year takeover of Southbank Centre's Riverside Terrace during Refugee Week (2024–2026), giving participants the opportunity to perform at one of London's leading cultural venues.

Southbank Residency

Participants produced and presented broadcasts with stations including Worldwide FM, Voices Radio and Sister Midnight, developing confidence behind the microphone as well as behind the decks.

Through our collaboration with Oxfam & Counterpoints Arts, participants performed at Glastonbury Festival while taking part in a documentary celebrating young refugee artists in 2025.
